About
Our mission is to promote the protection and rehabilitation of Ontario’s streams, rivers, and wetlands through education and community action.
Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers provide support to many of our programs. Some of our opportunities include:
- In-stream restoration projects: Ontario Streams works with municipalities, volunteer,, and other interested groups to improve stream and wetland habitats in Southern Ontario
- Garbage cleanups: A key element of habitat restoration is ensuring that the streams and riparian areas are clear of litter before conducting any in-stream projects.
- Tree planting: Ontario Streams hosts the Adopt-A-Stream Tree Planting Program in partnership with the Municipality of York
