About Moisson Montréal
Moisson Montréal is a non-profit organization. We gather food donations and basic products all year long and free of charge, and distribute them to community organizations on the Island of Montreal. With your support, we have become the largest food bank in Canada distributing foodstuffs.
Our volunteering mainly consists to work with food as sorting food, packaging boxes, preparing orders or labelling of can. Please note that the work is done standing up and sometimes involves lifting more or less heavy boxes or working in cold rooms.
We offer a lunch meal to volunteers who spend an entire day at Moisson Montréal and a late-morning snack, although you may bring your own food. Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required, and we will also provide protective toes to ensure additional safety for our volunteers. Please note that jewelry is prohibited in the warehouse.
Fill out the form using the ‘I want to help’ button indicating the day you would like to volunteer and wait until you receive confirmation from Moisson Montréal via email! Please submit the form at least seventy-two (72) hours in advance when you wish to come and volunteer. The hours for each day of volunteering are as follows:
- Monday to Thursday between 8:30 am and 3 pm.
- Friday from 8:30 am to 11:30 am.
- We are closed on the weekends, evenings, and holidays
Be sure to arrive no later than 8:30 for the training session and to be assigned to a station!
