About the Learning Buddies Network
As many such children could not access tutoring services, Dr. Lipson and her team developed a program in which high school and university students are trained to work 1:1 with children who need the services. During the intervening years Dena, Samantha, and Alison have grown up, graduated, and moved on. They can feel satisfied that they have created a lasting legacy, and LBN is proud of the way that the tradition of youth leadership that they initiated continues today.
Volunteer Opportunities – 15+ years old
By volunteering with LBN, volunteers take on significant responsibilities and develop leadership, communication, and organization skills. You will have the opportunity to work directly with one child and develop a supportive mentoring relationship that will help foster building their learning skills, self-esteem, and a positive attitude.
