About Intercare
Intercare Corporate Group Inc. is an Alberta based organization providing health and life enrichment services in continuing care centres. Our purpose is to maintain dignity, offer choice and support growth to those we serve. Intercare has four (4) continuing care sites in Calgary.
Volunteer Opportunities – Volunteers under 16 are very welcome if accompanied by an adult.
Volunteers help in a variety of programs. Some examples include:
- Social Recreation programs
- Meal Time Companion
- Outings
- Palliative Care
- Pastoral Care
Volunteers will need to do the following:
- Submit a completed application (via I want to help button)
- Successful completion of the interview process and positive reference check
- Pass a City of Calgary Police Security Clearance and Vulnerable Sector Search
- Successful completion of orientation
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Volunteers who are under the age of 16 years are very welcome if accompanied by an adult
Intercare requires that all staff and volunteers be fully vaccinated against Covid 19. Proof of vaccination must be demonstrated prior to volunteer placement.
