About the George Derby Centre
George Derby Centre is a community-based care facility that partners with Veterans Affairs Canada and Fraser Health to offer complex care and services to Canadian Veterans of the Armed Forces and seniors whose needs can no longer be met in the community.
Volunteer Opportunities – Under 19 years of age requires parental consent on application form.
Volunteering at George Derby Centre can take many roles:
- General Recreation Program Volunteer
- Bus Outing Volunteer
- One to one Companion Volunteer
- Pet Therapy (with certified therapy dog)
- Art Studio Volunteer
- Seamstress Volunteer
- Gift Shop Volunteer
