Our vision is to provide good, nutritious groceries, household items, and opportunities for learning and self-empowerment for Berkeley and Albany households in crisis, especially those households at risk of upheaval and displacement.
Volunteer Opportunities
We require all of our staff and volunteers to be vaccinated against Covid-19. We also require that volunteers agree to the terms, rules, and requirements explained in the Berkeley Food Pantry Volunteer Handbook.
Our volunteer positions require a three-month commitment.
Our volunteer shifts are on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and are 2 hours long. The shifts are staggered between 10:00 am and 4:30 pm.
We also use volunteers to pick up food donations on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays before noon.
