For over 35 years, we have stood by our unwavering belief that food is a basic human right. We distribute millions of healthy meals every year, and are on the forefront of new approaches to ending hunger and poverty.
Volunteer Opportunities
With large quantities of fresh produce needing to be sorted and bagged, we are quite short of volunteer sign-ups. Please help us get this food out to our community as fast as possible!

- Warehouse Volunteers: Volunteer shifts in our Oakland warehouse are essential to our daily impact. You'll sort fresh produce, prepare emergency food boxes, and help our agency partners shop and load their cars with food.
- Volunteer in the Community: Partner agencies throughout Alameda County need volunteers to help distribute food at neighborhood distributions. See a list of volunteer needs at local pantries and other organizations.
