About the Mount Pleasant BIA
Founded in 1989, by a group of like-minded business owners, the Mount Pleasant BIA has successfully organized and financed a wide variety of initiatives and programs that have assisted in the transformation of the business community and the surrounding neighbourhood. Our mission is to create an enhanced business environment that provides assistance and advocacy for our members and their relatable needs and concerns.

- Safety and Security
- Brand Building, Marketing and Promotions
- Special Events
- Economic Development
- Liaise with the City of Vancouver and other BIAs
- Build mutually beneficial partnerships with outside organizations

The Mount Pleasant BIA hosts a variety of summer festivals and block parties, including Main Street Car Free Day, Vancouver Mural Festival, and in-house events such as the Just off Main series and the Watson Street Music Festival. We rely on our volunteers to ensure that our events run smoothly and safely.
