About Braata Productions
Braata Productions is a multidisciplinary folk arts organization focused on giving Caribbean-born, Afro-Caribbean, and Caribbean-American artists a platform through which to showcase their work and talents. Based in Queens, Braata annually serves 5,000+ audiences and 100+ artists from the five boroughs. We both present and produce a wide array of cultural offerings, which include: education, community outreach, theatre, and folk performance.
Les possibilités de bénévolat
The opportunities we have available at Braata Productions directly relate to our community outreach events. Braata works to further the educational and social well being of everyone in our community, from children to seniors. We do this through curated community events and festivals such as: the Bankra Caribbean Culture Festival, the Christmas Grand Market, and CariBites culinary-and-performance festival. Volunteers must be 18+ or can come to our events with parental or guardian supervision of someone who is over 18.
We need individuals willing to help us prepare and participate in our events. Opportunities may include:
- Front of house management
- Merchandise management
- Stage management support
- General load-in and load-out support
- Play zone/ family friendly activities management and support
